11 year old, McKenna Dempsey, Elmhurst Twp, caught this 20 inch Largemouth Bass last Saturday while fishing at a lake in Monroe County. She used a tip-up with a minnow for bait. It was a nice day for curing the cabin fever from this long tough winter.
This is a photo of a fish hooked while my friend and I were fishing the Susquehanna river yesterday evening. He hooked into what we believe to be a black carp. If confirmed as being a black carp, this would be the first invasive species of Asian carp in the Susquehanna river in our area. There is also speculation to the fish possibly being a grass carp. Left is myself, PJ Connors, and holding the fish, Phil Dunn jr.
