The 60-year-old Coplay man was pronounced dead at the scene of the one-vehicle crash.

More testing will be needed to determine the case of death for a 60-year-old Lehigh County man who died after a one-vehicle crash on Route 22.

Jonathan E. Flook, of Coplay, lost control of a 2003 Ford Taurus about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday in the area of the 15th Street interchange in South Whitehall Township, state police at Bethlehem said.

The sedan struck a center concrete barrier on Route 22, state police said. The car traveled onto the off-ramp at 15th Street, then over a guardrail and into a field, where it came to rest, according to police.

Flook was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An autopsy was performed Thursday morning, and the Lehigh County coroner said he’s waiting on additional tests before ruling on a cause or manner of death.

The incident is under investigation by state police and the coroner’s office.
