Days apart, the robberies were perpetrated by a male gunman, according to Whitehall Township police.

Whitehall Township police responded Friday for the second time this week to an armed robbery on MacArthur Road, and say the two incidents may be related.

Friday’s holdup was reported about 12:30 p.m. at Sunoco at 2304 MacArthur Road, a commercial corridor also known as Route 145, according to township police.

A male perpetrator displayed a handgun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Police asked anyone with information to call Detective Mark Mazzitelli at 610-437-3042, ext. 218.

This week’s previous armed robbery occurred Wednesday morning at Dunkin’ Donuts at MacArthur Road and Schadt Avenue.
